Drift Seafood & Raw Bar
Logo Design | Visual Identity
Drift approached us to craft a logo and visual identity for their new Seafood and Raw Bar in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Inspired by vintage oyster cans, Drift aimed to capture the essence of the local foodie scene and cocktail culture.
My goal was to create a modern brand with a touch of nostalgia, fitting for its location in an old camp meeting house. The custom-drawn word mark was designed to evoke the charm of oyster tin labels, complemented by figure-eight knots that recur throughout the brand, including the intertwined ‘D’ in the emblem.
As a primarily evening locale, we chose an inviting yet moody palette, blending warm bronze tones with contrasting grays to add depth. Adding personality to the brand, we introduced two otters as mascots, reflecting their affinity for oysters and playfulness, further enhancing Drift's charismatic appeal.
