Rush River Commons

Logo Design | Visual Identity

Rush River Commons came to us with a mission we could all rally behind, to bring people together to find common ground. Located in "Little" Washington Virginia, Rush River Commons is a multi-use development, that aims to breathe new life into the land through the restoration of the native wetlands while also providing community resources. These resources include inclusive housing, community gathering spaces, as well as a food bank.

Aknew we needed to set Rush River Commons apart by giving it an approachable and down-to-earth identity. The logo itself was built around a stamp created to celebrate the three main features of the property: the wetlands, the river, and the commons. Looking closer you will see the introduction of native plants that will revitalize the local ecosystem, literally bringing new life to the land.

The identity is paired with elements inspired by nature. Rough edges resemble torn paper and mimic rippling water. The color palette is directly inspired by the land including mossy grass and an array of blues harkening back to the center of it all, the river.
